Upon your arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you'll be warmly greeted by our representative who will assist you with all arrival procedures. Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

Upon your arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you'll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your accommodation in Dar es Salaam. Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania's best-kept wildlife secrets. After checking in to your lodge, you'll embark on an afternoon game drive where you may spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. Mikumi's landscapes are diverse, ranging from open savannahs to lush forests, making it an exciting start to your safari. Day 3

Full Day in Mikumi National Park

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring Mikumi National Park. You'll rise early for a morning game drive when wildlife is most active. The park is home to an incredible variety of animals, including the Big Five, as well as wild dogs, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. You'll spend the entire day exploring different areas of the park: the Mkata Floodplain where animals congregate, the Udzungwa Mountains foothills, and the hippo pools. A picnic lunch will be provided in the park, and you'll have ample opportunities for wildlife photography. In the late afternoon, return to your lodge for dinner and another overnight stay in Mikumi, surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.

Mikumi National Park – Dar es Salaam

On your final day, you'll enjoy an early morning game drive in Mikumi, the last chance to spot any wildlife you may have missed. The morning light is perfect for photography, and animals are often active during the cooler hours. After a fulfilling morning in the park, you'll begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam. Arriving in the afternoon, you can explore the city or relax at your accommodation. This marks the end of your unforgettable Mikumi safari experience — you've witnessed incredible wildlife, explored diverse landscapes, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

Tipping is a tradition in Tanzania. Recommended: USD 40–50 per guest, per day for your safari guide and lodge/camp staff on luxury safaris. Detailed tipping guide included in pre-departure info.

Internal Flights & Luggage

For fly-in safaris, return flights between Arusha and Serengeti included. Max luggage: 15 kg per person. Soft-sided bags required for light aircraft. Hard-shell suitcases not accepted.
